Over 5 Decades ofElectrical Experience
Neu-Lite Electrical has been the premier electrical contractor in Southern Alberta since 1975. Our success as a company is largely attributed to our commitment to meeting our clients’ strict electrical needs and deadlines, no matter how complex the project.
Throughout Western Canada, our Industrial/Agricultural division has been involved in main service upgrades, plant automation/integration, bin level controls, safety monitoring, and the ongoing maintenance and repairs needed to sustain these systems.
We have a strong commitment to after-hours care
Our Commercial team has been involved in over 40 new Walmart store locations, in addition to working for Real Canadian Superstore, Safeway, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and many other well-known retailers. Similarly, our Residential team has wired tens of thousands of single-family homes, and many multi-family units, including assisted living facilities and condominiums.
Our trained technicians are available for fire alarm testing, motor and speed control solutions, automation upgrades, lighting upgrades, network cabling, after-hours service and repairs, and so much more!

In 2024, Neu-Lite began development of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), giving our staff the opportunity to share in the ownership of the company they help build every day.

In addition to our general electrical contracting, Neu-Lite Electrical designs custom solar solutions that reduce energy costs and deliver long-term savings for homes, businesses, farms, and commercial properties.
Our solar division was formerly known as Solar Optix. Although we now operate under one company name, our goals have not changed.

Evan began his electrical apprenticeship with Neu-Lite Electrical following a 2-year mission in Australia and has been actively involved in the commercial construction industry since 2004. He achieved his Electrical Journeyman certification, complete with Red Seal, in 2006, followed by his Master’s certification in 2009. Evan has gained extensive experience through involvement in several commercial, industrial, and agricultural projects throughout Alberta and BC. He has assumed the roles of Foreman, Project Manager, and Commissioning Agent for several oil and gas projects throughout Alberta. His experience in the industry, both in the field and as an estimator, ensures that the needs of our clients are exceeded. In 2017, Evan joined the ownership group and became a Partner of Neu-Lite Electrical. He will continue to be an integral part of our team and contribute to the growth of Neu-Lite Electrical for many years. Formerly our Commercial Estimator, Evan wholeheartedly stepped into the role of President & General Manager of Neu-Lite Electrical in April 2021. Outside of work, Evan and his wife, Miranda, are busy with their four children, fishing, camping, skiing, dirt biking, and spending time as a family. He also stays quite active by coaching and watching their kids participate in their different sports.

Mike began his electrical apprenticeship with Neu-Lite Electrical and has been actively involved in the residential construction industry since 1997. Mike achieved his Electrical Journeyman certification in 2004, followed by his Master’s certification in 2007. Mike is our Residential Estimator, and focuses on providing accurate and competitive pricing for new home construction, renovations and multi-family projects. He is eager to meet with clients and builders to discuss their needs while incorporating the latest codes and technology available. His infectious laugh and positive attitude leave a lasting impression on everyone he meets, and undoubtedly make him an industry favourite. In 2017, Mike joined the ownership group and became a Partner of Neu-Lite Electrical. He will continue to be an integral part of our team and contribute to the growth of Neu-Lite Electrical for many years. Outside of work, Mike and his wife, Esther, are busy with their four kids, coaching and watching sports, fishing, boating, camping, golfing, and cheering on the Calgary Flames.

Travis started his apprenticeship in 2004 and joined Neu-Lite Electrical in 2006, and has been actively involved in the residential construction industry since then. In a very short time, Travis was recognized as a lead hand by his co-workers and supervisors for his ability to lead a team and his superb organizational skills. Travis oversees the Residential Operations for Neu-Lite Electrical, which involves actively visiting job sites to answer questions, provide quality control, and schedule day-to-day activities. His attention to detail and high expectations continue to earn the respect of those who work with him. In 2014, Travis joined the ownership group and became a Partner of Neu-Lite Electrical. He will continue to be an integral part of our team and contribute to Neu-Lite Electrical’s growth for many years. Outside of work, Travis is busy with his three kids, running them around and supporting them in their activities, as well as taking them to their campsite during the spring and summer, during which time he also tries to sneak in a few softball games in the evenings, and on average has one pro wrestling match a month. Travis (“The Heat Copeland”) started his Pro Wrestling career in 2007, and has wrestled people from all around the world, including many superstars of the WWE, and is known for his signature finishing move, the “420 Splash”. He has won 2 Championships over that time.

Jarod began his apprenticeship in 2007, straight out of high school. Right away, Jarod began working primarily at industrial processing sites, applying his expertise to various projects throughout Western Canada! He heavily credits his travels from project to project, both near and far, with providing him the knowledge and experience to realize that working at industrial sites was his calling! Jarod joined team Neu-Lite Electrical in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since! He has helped pave the way for our Industrial division and has been instrumental in the growth of our industrial team and the expansion of our service territory and projects. He has done so by earning the respect of our customers, clients, and fellow team members with his work ethic, leadership, knowledge, and skills. Outside of work, you can find Jarod with his wife, Kristen, at their daughter’s and son’s after-hours sports and activities, with the occasional camping or hiking trip in the summertime.

Dan began his apprenticeship in 2007 after moving from England. Dan mostly works in the commercial construction industry. In 2013, he became a Journeyman electrician, and then a Master electrician in 2018. Dan started with Neu-Lite Electrical in 2016 and has been actively helping to grow and manage the commercial department, progressing from foreman, project manager, and estimator to joining the ownership group in 2023. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife Jamie, kids, Brynn and Nevin, and dogs, Louie, Lexus and Bane. In the summertime, Dan likes to travel to Mexico and ride down to the states on his motorcycle for weekend trips. In the winter, Dan enjoys ski trips to the mountains.

Steve began his electrical apprenticeship with Neu-Lite Electrical in 1997 and has been actively engaged in the commercial and industrial construction industry ever since. Steve achieved his Electrical Journeyman certification in 2003 and has been involved in many projects throughout Alberta and BC. In April 2021, as the President & General Manager of Neu-Lite Electrical, after having successfully lifted the company to new heights, Steve’s vision and commitment to expanding Neu-Lite Electrical, and his dedication to creating opportunities throughout western Canada, have led him to his current role of Director of Business Development & Acquisitions for Neu-Lite Electrical. Outside of work, Steve and his wife Sally are busy with their two boys. As a family, they enjoy watching sports, fishing, boating, camping, golfing, travelling and cheering on the Calgary Flames.
